NYX soft matte lip cream review (Amsterdam)

So, getting back to today’s review. I’m going to review a lippie today, my love for lippies is eternal and no matter how many lippies are in my make up stash , I always have this urge to collect every shade possible and try varied brands.

Most of you might already know that matte lippies are in vogue right now, and I love matte lippies and the lippie I’m going to review today is a cult favorite it’s called soft matte lip cream by NYX in the shade amsterdam.?

I’m totally addicted to collecting lippies and I’ve been an ardent fan of matte lippies I, have a couple of them, but then I’d always wanted to try a liquid transfer-proof lippie, and I’d heard a lot about NYX lip creams, but since they weren’t available in India I,could’nt really add them to my lippie collection, until Nykaa collaborated with NYX and as soon as I, got a mail about the launch of NYX  on Nykaa I, quickly ordered a couple of their soft matte lip creams, Nykaa is the best, all thanks to Nykaa , Nyx products are just a click away. YAAY!!??

About NYX soft matte lip cream:

For those of you who haven’t heard of NYX I’ll give you a brief about it:
NYX cosmetics is a cosmetic company founded in Los Angeles by Toni Ko. It took it’s baby steps in the late 90’s and since then it has sold its products in 70 different countries.
NYX is one brand I, can’t live without .I’m in love with their products especially their lip creams are amazing.

Packaging:

Nyx soft matte lip cream comes in a long and round plastic bottle with a matte black cap which makes the bottle look attractive, the color of the bottle depends on the shade you choose, it comes with a cute sponge applicator, well on the whole, the packaging is travel friendly.

My take on this product:

I’m totally in love with NYX products and their soft matte lip creams are something you cannot miss, I’m totally obsessed with them I, have couple of them in my make up stash and I’m looking forward to collecting all 12 shades, the lip cream I’m reviewing today is a shade called Amsterdam, it is basically a pure red shade with a slight orange undertones, this shade can also be used on a regular day, it adds a tinge of brightness to my face, it’s a nice slightly bright red.
The liquid is creamy and thick in texture, and tends to dry within minutes and sets to matte finish. It’s fragrance is amazing with top notes of vanilla, reminds me of freshly baked cup cakes. This shade is one of my favorite reds among all the red lippies  I own, plus it makes my lips look fuller, it survives through one or two meals, and is smudge proof but isn’t really transfer-proof, the color pay off is pretty good.The only con is that, it might feel a little dry in case of  dry and chapped lips, well but that’s no reason to skip this beautiful lippie, the tip mentioned at the end of the post will help you overcome this con.❤

This shade will look amazing even on slightly dusky skin tones , so all you beauties out there if you haven’t added NYX soft matte lip cream in amsterdam to your lippie stash it’s high time you do so.?❤

Pros

• Creamy in texture
• love the matte finish
• Fragrance is amazing

Cons

• Slightly drying ,might settle into fine lines in case of dry lips,(so do try the tip mentioned at the end of the post prior to applying the soft matte lip cream)

I’d conclude by saying, NYX soft matte lip cream in Amsterdam is a lovely red, do try it. It’s one of the best red shades I’ve used so far.??

Here’s a tip❤

Try this prior to using this lip cream:

• Dab some lip balm onto your lips.
• Leave it for a good 2-3 mins, and then use your tooth brush to exfoliate your lips.
• Re-apply the lip balm, and now your lips are all set, go ahead and apply the NYX soft matte lip cream, this way  it won’t leave your lips dry and won’t settle between fine lines.
